Sue has a Masters in Classical Piano Performance and has been teaching and performing for over thirty years. She splits her time between the stage, playing as a soloist and in chamber groups, and the studio, where she works with students one lesson at a time.

Sue also chairs the Sonata/Sonatina Competition for CAPMT, the California Association of Professional Music Teachers. She helps run the organization and guides how its regional competitions are structured and improved year over year.
